L421 An incredible Southern Aymara khipi urku traditional woman's dress. Tis all-alpaca wool masterpiece is from the Salar de Uyuni Saltbed in Provincia Salinas de Garci Mendoza in southern Oruro. This incredible weaving weighs nearly 9 pounds and measures 84" X 54" as a folded tube; opened up, it is 14 feet long! This rare textile is finely woven with a few light worn spots and a minor amount of native repair. Early to mid-20th century. $900 SOLD
